
Aim project: The aim of the PRIORITY research project is to investigate the potential of therapeutic intervention with spironolacton guided by early detection of diabetic nephropathy based on urinary proteomics. Patients classified by urinary proteomics to be in high risk of developing nephropathy will be randomised to spironolactone or placebo to try to prevent or delay nephropathy from occurring.
